As a curator, Isolde Brielmaier has supported some of the worlds leading contemporary artists at various stages in their careers and continues to collaborate with them in new ways. With an eye on what’s relevant in an international context, Isolde works to generate important discussion around contemporary art and its impact on both the local and global landscape. Her latest exhibitions include, Shinique Smith: Torch Songs (2008, Atlanta); Titus Kaphar: Painting Undone (2008, Savannah, GA); Pais de Poetas (with Omar Lopez-Chahoud, 2007, NYC); Lee Quinones: PRELUDE (2006, Puerto Rico); Andrew Dosunmu: The African Game (with Knox Robinson, 2006, NYC); CityScapes NYC (2006, Madrid); Maximum Flavor (2005, Atlanta).

Isolde will be co-curating Photo Miami this year during Art Basel Miami, Dec 1-6, 2009.
Brielmaier is the Guest Curator of a full-scale museum exhibition to be presented in August 2010.

THE ARMORY SHOW / VOLTA NY 2010
Isolde is currently the Program Curator for The Armory Show and Volta NY where she is developing several artist and curator conversations as well as contemporary art and culture panels.
ARCO CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR (Madrid, Spain)
Brielmaier is now in her fourth year of developing programs and curating special exhibitions for ARCO the largest contemporary art fair in southern Europe which is presented each year in Madrid, Spain.
ART CHICAGO (Chicago, IL)
Isolde is currently consulting Program Curator for Art Chicago Speaks, the lecture and special event segment of the Art Chicago contemporary art fair. SPECIAL PROJECTS
Isolde continues to work on private projects which include customizing, developing and curating art collections and other special endeavors for individuals in business, entertainment and sports. Additional information available upon request.
